RA! is an architecture workshop based in Mexico City, founded in 2017 by Cristóbal Ramírez de Aguilar, Pedro Ramírez de Aguilar, and Santiago Sierra. The studio approaches architecture as the study and creation of spaces that evoke emotions and provide shelter for human experiences. By classifying projects based on the nature of human relationships—personal, interpersonal, and societal—RA! places human connection at the heart of its practice. The studio is committed to a continuous search for innovation in design, embracing experimentation as an essential part of its vision. This exploratory approach involves questioning and investigating the environment through various tools such as drawing, model-making, video production, and collaboration with specialists. These processes ensure that each detail is carefully considered to communicate and evoke emotions in those who inhabit the spaces. RA! specializes in architecture, urbanism, and spatial interventions, with their experimental projects showcased in renowned venues like Archivo de Diseño y Arquitectura, Museo Numismático Nacional, and Harvard GSD Kirkland Gallery, among others. Their work has earned accolades, including the Félix Candela Award in 2019. With a focus on inspiration and enthusiasm, RA! continues to redefine the boundaries of architectural practice.
