Joan Roig is a highly respected photographer specializing in architectural with over 22 years of experience in the field. His work has been published in numerous prestigious magazines and books worldwide, showcasing his ability to capture the beauty and essence of spaces. As the founder and director of IMAGEN, the only online academy dedicated exclusively to architectural and real estate photography, Joan has become a leading figure in the education of this specialized art form. He is also the author of two influential books: Cómo fotografiar arquitectura e interiores and Fotografía de interiores. Joan began his professional journey in 1981 after studying Image and Sound in Valencia. His career initially focused on social photography before transitioning into industrial photography, primarily for furniture catalogues. He later expanded into art photography in Barcelona. Since 1997, Joan has devoted himself entirely to architectural and real estate photography, working with architects and companies across Spain. His images, known for their precision and artistic quality, have been featured in a wide range of international publications. In 2019, Joan launched IMAGEN, an online academy that offers over 60 courses, guides, and masterclasses, comprising more than 300 video tutorials on architectural and real estate photography. His dedication to education stems from his recognition of the lack of specialized training in the field.
